After years of diligent work, guitarist and composer Lucas Haneman is set to release his debut album in May of 2011 in both Ottawa and Montreal. The CD, entitled “This is What’s Up” is set for release on May 20^{t h}

 Haneman is the recipient of various accolades including the Galaxie Rising Star Award from CBC Radio, The Oscar Peterson Jazz Scholarship from Concordia University, and most recently first place at the CNIB’s national talent competition “The I Factor”. 

With a modern approach to composition, he has received praise from artists as diverse as legendary guitarist Jeff Healy, singer songwriter Shirley Eikhart, jazz guitarist Roddy Ellias, and Canadian Idol Judge Farley Flex.  Haneman has recorded a collection of fresh and fiercely creative compositions for his debut CD “This is What’s Up”, which will be officially released this May in Ottawa and Montreal.
