Awards and Recognition

2008:

On October 16th Lucas and Elyssa Mahoney were awarded the Ontario Independent Music Awards "Best Blues Award" for their song "How To Dance" from their CD Pull Me In. This also means that they will get to perform at next years award show to be held in Toronto.

2007:

2nd place winner in both jazz & acoustic guitar as well as the overall peoples chose winner at the Montreal Guitar Grand Prix.

2006:

Ottawa Youth Sprit Award for Arts

first recipient of the Domenic Troiano Guitar Scholarship. This new scholarship is awarded to a young guitarist that is planning to attend university to pursue guitar studies. There are two scholarships awarded annually, one male & one female.

2005:

CBC Galaxie “Rising Star” award and Scholarship. Ottawa International Jazz festival, Best overall performance from Canadian Galaxy Jazz Youth All-Stars

Outstanding Jazz Guitarist “ National Musicfest May 2005, Richmond B.C.

Jazzworks Scholarship for Best Rhythm Section Player” National  Musicfest May 2005 Richmond B.C.

Most Outstanding Soloist” Atlantic Band Festival May /05  Halifax NS

Scholarship to Berklee Collage, Boston Ma. 5 week summer program.

Bill Shuttleworth Memorial Scholarship” from the Ottawa International Jazz Festival awarded at Capital Region Music Festival Mach /05 Ottawa On.
